In line with the directives of the Dean of the College of Nursing and its ongoing commitment to providing a safe and ideal living environment for female students, the Internal Housing Follow-up Committee conducted a comprehensive field inspection visit to the internal departments building designated for female students (Al-Risala Department). The visit aimed to closely examine the reality of the services provided and the level of operational readiness to ensure the comfort of female students.

The tour was comprehensive and thorough, including an inspection of the dorm rooms to check the condition of the furniture, the quality of the beds and mattresses, and the availability of adequate storage space, as well as an inspection of the lighting and ventilation systems. The committee paid particular attention to the sanitary facilities and bathrooms to ensure their efficiency, water availability, and level of cleanliness and sterilization, recognizing their importance as a fundamental pillar of the students’ health and safety.

The committee members also made sure to meet directly with a number of students to listen to their opinions and suggestions and to note the basic needs and shortcomings they face in their daily lives within the dormitory.

At the end of the tour, the committee emphasized that these visits are part of a series of periodic measures to ensure a stable academic and psychological environment for students, noting that a detailed technical report containing all requirements has been prepared for immediate submission to the college dean to take urgent action and provide the necessary support.

This visit is closely linked to the Sustainable Development Goals, as providing a healthy and safe residential environment is a practical application of Goal 3, Good Health and Well-being, and Goal 4, Quality Education. Ensuring the quality of vital facilities, maintaining cleanliness standards, and providing an atmosphere conducive to psychological and academic comfort is a direct investment in the human capital of the nursing profession. The college emphasizes that a stable residential environment is a decisive factor in enhancing academic performance and achievement, which supports the university’s broader goal of graduating health professionals capable of achieving comprehensive health coverage in society, thus ensuring that the quality of student life at the College of Nursing is an integral part of achieving academic and community sustainability.
