The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged )The Influence of Anxiety and Depression on Health-related Quality of Life among Patients with Heart Diseases at Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in Sammawa (for the student Hatif Ali Abed.
The aim of the study is to assess and determine anxiety and depressive symptoms and to investigate health-related quality of life among patients with heart diseases.
The letter also included the thesis to the results show that (48%) of heart patients were severe anxiety, (23%) of heart patients were moderate depression, and (86%) of heart patients were fair quality of life. And most heart patients were males. They found that depression and anxiety have a significant influence on quality of life among patients with heart disease.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Coordination between the coronary care unit and the Department of Psychiatry is needed in order to provide care and therapy for anxiety and depression , And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
