The College of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the higher diploma thesis titled: “Evidence-Based Approach to Nursing Measures for Patients with Thrombocytopenia” by Ghufran Alaa Jassim under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Ismaan Adnan in the College’s Continuing Education Hall.
The thesis aimed to highlight the importance of evidence-based nursing management in dealing with patients with thrombocytopenia, and identify key strategies that enhance patient safety, reduce complications, and improve overall quality of life.
The thesis confirmed that the current educational intervention contributed significantly in improving and activating evidence-based nursing interventions, such as monitoring. The study achieves the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically the third goal related to “good health and well-being”. By adopting an “evidence-based approach” and providing “standardized protocols for optimal care”, nurses contribute to building a sustainable and effective health system that ensures universal access to quality health care, minimizes waste of resources, and promotes the long-term health and well-being of society, thus emphasizing the pivotal role of the nursing profession in achieving comprehensive development
