The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has launched a comprehensive volunteer campaign to provide health and logistical services to visitors of Arbaeen Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). This initiative comes as part of the college’s commitment to strengthening its social responsibility and in response to the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the strategy of the University of Baghdad.

Professor Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, Dean of the College of Nursing, emphasized the importance of this participation, noting that the campaign embodies the university’s active role in serving the community and implementing its development goals. He also praised the efforts of the volunteer team, which included a group of faculty members and staff, emphasizing that this work reflects the values of dedication and generosity among the college’s affiliates.

Dr. Qasim added that the initiative reinforces the values of cooperation and peaceful coexistence and confirms that volunteer work is at the core of the college’s mission. This campaign is directly in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on “Good Health and Well-being” and Goal 17 on “Partnerships for the Goals.”
