The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad discussed a doctoral thesis entitled: “The effectiveness of a counseling program for patients with type A and type B myocardial ischemia towards activities of daily living”, presented by student Amer Jassim Qadoush under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hakima Shaker Hassan in the college’s classroom.

The thesis aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a counseling program that focuses on improving the ability of patients with myocardial ischemia to perform daily activities, taking into account their personality type (A or B). The results proved the effectiveness of the counseling program in improving the performance of daily activities for patients of both types.

The study recommended incorporating this counseling program into the treatment and nursing plans for patients with myocardial ischemia to improve their quality of life and their ability to perform their daily activities. The researcher received an excellent grade for his thesis.

This study is directly aligned with the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Wellbeing). By developing a mentorship program aimed at improving the quality of life of cardiac patients, the study contributes to health promotion and prevention of non-communicable diseases, supporting efforts to achieve this global goal.
