The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged epidemiology of overweight and obesity among elementary school students in Al Diwaniyah City for the student Bushra AbdUlkadhim Mkhailef.
The aim of the thesis is to epidemiology of overweight and obesity among elementary school students in Al Diwaniyah City.
The letter also included the thesis The analysis of the data regarding the correlation between Body Mass Index and dietary habits, was found a highly a strong relationship with the child’s BM. Also, between Body Mass Index and sleep pattern and a highly significant correlation between Body Mass Index and (the aspect of physical activity and sports). Although there was no association between the elementary age students’ Body Mass Index and household income, the crowding index did show an association.
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Additional research on the same age groups in the different regions of the governorate Spreading awareness about childhood obesity among parents through publications and seminars organized by school health Activating the sports lesson in the school for various sports, provided that it includes all students in sports competitions in the school through the development of sports programs and the responsibility for changing eating habits and increasing activity rests with the family, especially when it comes to playing with their children. And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.
