The Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Unit at the Faculty of Nursing/Baghdad University held a mentoring seminar for third-level students on the instruction of the law on student discipline on campus.

The seminar aimed to introduce undergraduate students to the laws of the University of Baghdad, which determine students’ behaviors on university, and academic interaction between students and members of the teaching and administrative staff. The seminar was presented by members of the Psychological Counselling and Educational Guidance Unit. Assistant prof Dr. Adraa Hussein Shawq and assistant prof  Dr. Iman Hussein Alwan.

The seminar included a review of student discipline instruction materials on university consisting of 13 basic subjects. It was explained what students are obliged to do in the institutions of the Ministry of Higher Education in terms of avoiding infringing on religious beliefs and national unity, preserving school requirements and university property, and moving away from advocacy for any political party or organization

At the end of the seminar, students were appreciated for their good university behavior and adherence to the university and college instructions. Emphasis was also placed on creating university professional relationships between students and faculty members because they are the basis for building a self-confident and strong nursing society.
