As part of the Continuing Education Unit\u2019s activities and its ongoing efforts to promote health awareness, the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad held a training course titled \u201cHealthy Eating and Menopause,\u201d presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Aqdas Daoud Salman. The course addressed key health and nutritional topics relevant to women during this important transitional phase of their lives.<\/span><\/p>\n

The course aimed to enable participants to understand the basic principles of the hormonal changes that occur in women as they reach the \u201cAge of Hope,\u201d also known as menopause, with a focus on raising awareness of the importance of proper nutrition to alleviate symptoms that cause anxiety and physical and mental exhaustion resulting from decreased levels of the hormones estrogen and progesterone, as well as equipping attendees with sufficient knowledge on how to select foods appropriate in both type and quantity to maintain women\u2019s health and vitality.<\/span><\/p>\n

This course is being organized as part of the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad\u2019s commitment to continuing to implement continuing education programs, advancing health knowledge, and raising community awareness of issues related to women\u2019s health, thereby actively contributing to the improvement of educational and preventive services provided to the community, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 on good health and well-being, Goal 4 on quality education, and Goal 5 on women\u2019s empowerment and reproductive health.<\/span><\/p>\n
