University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, received the Ministerial Committee on Chemical Safety and Security, chaired by Dr. Samer Atta Qasim, to review and evaluate the occupational and laboratory safety standards adopted by the college, in the presence of the head of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Evaluation Division and member of the CBRN Committee, Assistant Professor Dr. Noor al-Huda Khalil Ibrahim, as well as a number of faculty members and scientific laboratory staff.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the visit was to conduct an on-site review of the implementation of chemical safety and security standards in educational and research laboratories and to verify their compliance with current ministerial regulations and instructions; The committee reviewed the procedures for storing and handling chemicals, the availability of personal protective equipment, and mechanisms for the safe disposal of waste, in addition to auditing chemical labeling records and emergency response plans to ensure a safe and stable work environment.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, the Dean of the College of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, emphasized the importance of these evaluation visits, stating: \u201cThe College Dean\u2019s Office is continuously committed to instilling the concepts of occupational safety and chemical and biological security as an essential and indispensable pillar of our laboratories\u2019 operations, and we are working diligently to provide a sound educational and research environment that meets the highest quality and safety standards approved at the ministerial and international levels, in order to safeguard the safety of our students and our academic and technical staff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>These measures and periodic
