<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad hosted a defense of the doctoral dissertation by researcher Jamal Abdul-Azim Burhan, titled \u201cThe Impact of Nurses\u2019 Use of Artificial Intelligence Platforms on the Work Environment: A Study Based on the Technology Acceptance Model,\u201d under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Qahtan Qasim Muhammad.<\/p>\n
The study primarily aimed to identify the extent to which nursing staff accept and use artificial intelligence platforms based on the Technology Acceptance Model, and to assess their perceptions of their clinical work environment, as well as to identify statistically significant differences and relationships between the use of these technologies and perceptions of the work environment on the one hand, and sociodemographic and professional characteristics (such as age, gender, educational level, years of experience, marital status, socioeconomic status, and place of residence) on the other.<\/p>\n
The study\u2019s results and conclusions showed that the use of artificial intelligence platforms has a statistically significant positive effect\u2014ranging from moderate to strong\u2014on nurses\u2019 work environment, Ease of use and behavioral intention emerged as the most important drivers of digital adoption, highlighting the critical importance of designing user-friendly AI systems and developing supportive strategies for their implementation to advance nursing practice and improve working conditions.<\/p>\n
Based on the research findings, the study recommended that healthcare institutions adopt a supportive leadership approach toward nursing staff and establish clear frameworks and policies to ensure the safe and ethical use of AI technologies, along with providing training and continuing education programs, integrating AI skills into nursing curricula, and securing resources and organizational support to enhance the quality of the work environment and improve professional performance.<\/p>\n
Following an extensive academic discussion, the researcher\u2019s efforts culminated in the thesis receiving a \u201cvery good\u201d grade.<\/p>\n
The findings of this study align with the Sustainable Development Goals that the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad seeks to promote, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), Goal 4 (Quality Education), and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), through the use of digital technologies and smart solutions to develop healthy work environments and improve the efficiency of nursing care.<\/p>\n
