{"id":5857,"date":"2026-07-26T14:12:32","date_gmt":"2026-07-26T14:12:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5857"},"modified":"2026-07-26T14:12:32","modified_gmt":"2026-07-26T14:12:32","slug":"the-college-of-nursing-discusses-a-doctoral-dissertation-on-the-effectiveness-of-vibration-therapy-for-restless-legs-syndrome-and-sleep-disorders-in-patients-with-hemodialysis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=5857","title":{"rendered":"The College of Nursing Discusses a Doctoral Dissertation on the Effectiveness of Vibration Therapy for Restless Legs Syndrome and Sleep Disorders in Patients with Hemodialysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad discussed the doctoral dissertation titled \u201cThe Effectiveness of Vibration Therapy on Restless Legs Syndrome and Sleep Disorders in Patients Undergoing Hemodialysis\u201d by student Amjad Abdul Abbas Sharida, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Waddad Kamel Muhammad, in the college\u2019s Skills Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The study primarily aimed to determine whether vibration therapy improves restless legs syndrome and the associated sleep quality in dialysis patients.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The study results showed that vibration therapy had a consistent and significant effect in reducing the severity of restless legs syndrome and improving sleep quality in the study group over time, while the control group showed no noticeable improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The study recommended that healthcare providers consider incorporating vibration therapy into routine care for hemodialysis patients suffering from restless legs syndrome and sleep disorders, and conduct larger, multicenter clinical trials to confirm the generalizability of the study\u2019s findings. Following an extensive scientific discussion, the researcher\u2019s efforts were rewarded with a \u201cvery good\u201d grade.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Tahoma;\">The findings of this study align directly with the Sustainable Development Goals pursued by the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, as they support Goal 3 on good health and well-being by providing safe nursing solutions that reduce overreliance on chemical medications, It also serves Goal 12 on responsible consumption and production by providing low-cost, economical treatment options that reduce the financial burden on both families and healthcare institutions and ensure the sustainability of medical resources.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
