<\/p>\nThe College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has commenced the process of reviewing and discussing graduation research topics for fourth-year undergraduate students across various scientific departments, a pivotal step aimed at guiding students toward selecting research subjects characterized by originality and scientific significance to ultimately serve the healthcare sector and actively contribute to the advancement of the nursing profession in Iraq, as these discussions have witnessed broad participation from specialized scientific committees within the college, comprising faculty members with extensive expertise in various nursing fields such as adult health nursing, maternal and child health nursing, psychiatric-mental health nursing, community health nursing, pediatric nursing, and fundamentals of nursing.<\/p>\n
In this context, the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Wisam Jabbar Qasim, emphasized the importance of choosing research titles that reflect the actual needs of the community and address existing healthcare challenges, thereby reinforcing the role of nursing graduates as researchers and active contributors to improving the quality of healthcare, where the sessions featured a diverse array of research proposals, including pioneering studies on integrating artificial intelligence technologies into nursing, evaluating the quality of nursing care provided to chronic disease patients, and utilizing modern technologies in nursing education, while the committees continue to provide scientific guidance and feedback to ensure the formulation of comprehensive and clear research titles prior to the actual execution of the studies.<\/p>\n
In the same vein, graduation research serves as an essential vehicle for achieving the comprehensive commitment of the College of Nursing toward supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 regarding Good Health and Well-being, and for this purpose, students are encouraged to select topics focused on health promotion and disease prevention through studies that highlight health awareness mechanisms and the reduction of non-communicable diseases, as well as ensuring universal health coverage through research assessing the accessibility of nursing care services to the most vulnerable populations, alongside directing attention toward contributing to building resilient health systems by studying the role of nurses in confronting health crises and disasters, where integrating sustainable development concepts into the curricula and research projects aims to graduate a generation of nurses whose roles extend beyond providing direct clinical care to becoming leaders of change working toward a healthier and more sustainable society.<\/p>\n
