As part of efforts to strengthen the humanitarian and social role of academic institutions, a delegation from the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Department of Residential Affairs, conducted a humanitarian and inspection visit to children hospitalized at the Child Protection Hospital, with the aim of providing psychological and moral support and alleviating their suffering. The delegation included a select group of professors, administrative staff, and students, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Abdul Ali Hattab, Lecturer Dr. Khatam Ghazi Attia, Assistant Lecturer Hussein Hassan Aziz, Research Assistant Hussein Adnan Kazim, Assistant Lecturer Marwan Abdulrahman (Head of the Services Division), and Assistant Lecturer Mariam Abdulrahman Hashim (Head of the Follow-up Unit in the Department of Residential Affairs), along with a group of outstanding college students.
\nThe visit included the distribution of gifts to the sick children as part of an initiative aimed at bringing joy to their hearts and putting smiles on their faces. This gesture provided the children with moments of joy, reflecting the importance of addressing psychological and emotional aspects as an essential and supportive component of the treatment and recovery process. The participants in the visit emphasized that this initiative represents a message of human solidarity with the children and their families, noting that support for this group is not limited to purely medical care but extends to include comprehensive social and psychological care
