The Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness workshop titled “From Idea to Successful Project,” presented by Dr. Intisar Muzaffar Ouda, with active participation from first-year students in the college\u2019s lecture hall. The workshop focused on establishing entrepreneurial concepts among new students and introducing them to the mechanisms of building successful projects based on simple ideas capable of addressing real-world problems facing society.
\nThe lecture began with an open discussion with students about their aspirations and personal talents, along with an exploration of the primary sources for generating creative ideas\u2014which often stem from daily challenges, personal skills, or a passion for specific talents. The importance of identifying target audiences as a critical factor in the success of any project was also highlighted. The workshop featured lively interaction, with some students showcasing their skills in drawing, calligraphy, and arts and crafts, Meanwhile, Dr. Intisar discussed smart shopping strategies via social media and reviewed global success stories that began as small ideas and evolved into major economic entities, while explaining how to confront and overcome the challenges facing entrepreneurial projects with a scientific approach.
\nThe workshop concluded by encouraging students to embrace a spirit of initiative, as a number of participants presented their initial products and ideas, creating an enthusiastic atmosphere that reflected a desire for innovation. The administration of the Technology Incubator Unit expressed its full readiness to adopt students\u2019 ideas and provide the necessary advisory and technical support to realize their future projects, thereby contributing to strengthening the role of youth as an effective element in nation-building and achieving economic development.
\nThis workshop embodies the college\u2019s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals, foremost among them Goal 8 on decent work and economic growth through supporting entrepreneurship and providing productive job opportunities for youth, as well as Goal 4 on quality education by integrating innovation concepts into educational curricula, and Goal 9, which focuses on industry and innovation through supporting technology and developing startups that serve the community\u2019s infrastructure.<\/p>\n
