On the occasion of International Women\u2019s Day, the Women\u2019s Affairs Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized an awareness workshop titled \u201cThe Role of Women in Promoting Cultural Awareness,\u201d presented by Dr. Intisar Muzaffar Oda, in the presence of a group of professors and staff members at the college. This initiative reflects the academic institution\u2019s appreciation for the pivotal role of women in the development process
\nThe workshop aimed to highlight cultural awareness and its fundamental importance in building more advanced and prosperous societies, with a focus on the exceptional role of women as half of society and those directly responsible for raising future generations, as they are the primary nurturers, educators, and role models who transmit values and culture from the family sphere to the wider community, and actively contribute to instilling positive ethics and behaviors, in addition to their influential role in educational institutions, the media, and social media platforms in disseminating meaningful content and encouraging volunteer work
\nThe workshop concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing that conscious women are the cornerstone of building a cohesive society, and that the dissemination of culture is a collective responsibility that necessitates active participation in raising awareness and reinforcing the values of belonging and patriotism, thereby ensuring the development of a generation committed to authentic values and capable of shaping a bright future. The workshop also emphasized that the cultural empowerment of women is a long-term national investment whose impact is reflected in the advancement of society and the elevation of the nation
\nThis workshop achieves the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 on quality education, Goal 5 aimed at empowering women and strengthening their leadership and social roles, as well as Goal 10, which seeks to reduce inequalities by promoting cultural and social awareness.<\/p>\n
