The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Baghdad, in collaboration with the Maternal and Child Nursing Branch, organized a specialized workshop entitled “Prevention of Anemia in Women.” The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Fatima Fadel Binyan in the museum hall of the faculty, with the attendance and participation of a select group of faculty members and staff<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop aimed to present the latest scientific developments related to the causes of anemia in women and the factors affecting its spread, with a focus on the most important preventive measures and internationally approved methods of early diagnosis and treatment. The lecture also highlighted the essential awareness-raising role played by academic and health institutions in reducing the spread of this common health problem and ensuring optimal care for women<\/span><\/p>\n

The workshop also provided detailed information on the importance of following a healthy diet rich in iron and vitamins and the need for regular check-ups for early detection of low hemoglobin levels, with special attention to the most vulnerable groups, particularly women during pregnancy and lactation. The event witnessed remarkable interaction from the audience through scientific interventions that enriched the discussion and emphasized the importance of continuing to hold such activities to promote a culture of health among university staff<\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop is part of the college’s ongoing efforts to develop academic and health knowledge and link it to sustainable development goals related to health and well-being, thereby enhancing the university’s role in serving the community and developing the skills of its staff and educating them on current health issues<\/span><\/p>\n
