The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Adult Nursing Branch, held a specialized workshop entitled “Laser Therapy” in the college’s museum hall. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Wafa Abdul Ali Hatab and Lecturer Dr. Shaima Muhammad Hussein, and was attended by a group of second-year students with the aim of introducing them to the latest techniques used in the medical and nursing fields.<\/span>
\nThe workshop covered comprehensive scientific topics, beginning with an introduction to the principles of lasers, their different types, and their wide applications in the treatment of skin and surgical diseases and pain relief techniques. The pivotal role of university nurses in preparing patients and monitoring side effects was also highlighted, with an emphasis on the necessary safety and prevention measures when handling laser devices to ensure the protection of both patients and medical staff.<\/span>
\nThis workshop is part of the college’s continuing education program to provide students with up-to-date information and keep pace with rapid technological developments in global health institutions, directly contributing to the achievement of the fourth Sustainable Development Goal on quality education and the third goal on good health and well-being by preparing nursing cadres capable of dealing with advanced medical technologies with efficiency and utmost care.<\/span><\/p>\n
