<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Continuing Education Unit at the Faculty of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a specialized workshop entitled “Practical Training Ethics,” presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Aqil Habib Jassim and Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Faleh Hassan for first-year students in the Nursing Fundamentals Hall.
\nThe workshop aimed to reinforce the ethical principles and norms that students must adhere to while in hospitals, to serve as a legal and ethical shield that protects them while providing nursing care to patients and guides their professional behavior in line with internationally recognized health standards.
\nThe workshop emphasized that nursing is a humanitarian mission that aims to meet the needs of patients, promote health, and prevent diseases and complications by adhering to a code of professional conduct that requires the provision of safe, effective, and fair care centered on the interests of the patient. The workshop also concluded with a set of essential recommendations that emphasized the need for strict application of ethical standards and ethical standards during clinical practice and protecting students from legal issues through continuous training and diligent follow-up to prevent errors, while emphasizing the importance of familiarity with applicable laws and regulations to ensure a sound educational and therapeutic environment.
\nThis workshop is part of a series of activities organized by the Continuing Education Unit under the auspices of the Deanship of the College of Nursing to advance the scientific and practical knowledge of students and build a knowledge society that will lead to comprehensive and sustainable development. These activities contribute to the achievement of the fourth Sustainable Development Goal, which is to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, and the third goal, which is to ensure good health and well-being by preparing a generation of morally and professionally committed nurses, which will positively reflect on the quality of the national health system and ensure the provision of humane, efficient, and sustainable medical services for future generations.<\/p>\n
