{"id":457,"date":"2022-08-14T16:43:56","date_gmt":"2022-08-14T16:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=457"},"modified":"2022-08-14T16:43:56","modified_gmt":"2022-08-14T16:43:56","slug":"the-college-of-nursing-discusses-effectiveness-of-an-interventional-program-on-nurses-knowledge-and-practices-about-care-of-children-with-ventricular-peritoneal-shunt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=457","title":{"rendered":"The College of Nursing discusses Effectiveness of an Interventional Program on Nurses\u2019 Knowledge and Practices about Care of Children with Ventricular Peritoneal Shunt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master&#8217;s thesis\/ doctoral thesis \u00a0tagged Effectiveness of an Interventional Program on Nurses\u2019 Knowledge and Practices about Care of Children with Ventricular Peritoneal Shuntfor the student Raghda Lazim Mahmoud.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The aim of the <\/strong><strong>study <\/strong>is assess nurses` knowledge and evaluate their practice about care of children with ventricular peritoneal shunt.<\/p>\n<p>The letter also included the thesis to revealed that before application the interventional program the pretest period more than half of nurses scored at poor level of knowledge and more than half scored with sometime observed checklist practices. After application the interventional program vast majority, less than three quarters of nurses scored at good level regarding their Knowledge\u2019s during posttest1 and 2 periods, while almost, more than three quarter were observed at always checklist practices during posttest1 and 2 periods. The study showed a significant difference among pretest, posttest1 and 2 (0.00) at p value (0.05).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The interventional program documented significant differences regarding nurses&#8217; knowledge and practices for shunt care during the period of program application.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The most important recommendations reached by the study: Adapted and develop the constructed program by Ministry of Health, as educational program (protocol) for nurses\u2019 care of child with VP shunt. Encourage nurses to participate in continues educational programs and updating their knowledge. Provide an instructional brochure and posters for nursing staff periodically to improve their knowledge, and practice. Encourage researchers to study nursing practices based on evidence base. , And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Faculty
