{"id":4456,"date":"2025-12-07T17:15:05","date_gmt":"2025-12-07T17:15:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4456"},"modified":"2025-12-07T17:15:05","modified_gmt":"2025-12-07T17:15:05","slug":"college-members-from-the-college-of-nursing-participate-in-administering-the-iraqi-nursing-union-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/en.conursing.uobaghdad.edu.iq\/?p=4456","title":{"rendered":"college members from the College of Nursing participate in administering the Iraqi Nursing Union elections"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of strengthening joint scientific and academic cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Health and Environment, professors from the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad participated in the committee supervising the Nursing Union elections (second session), under the direct supervision and follow-up of the head of the Committee of Deans of Nursing Colleges in Iraq, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim.<\/p>\n<p>The election process took place at the union&#8217;s headquarters, where Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim participated in supervising the conduct of the elections. In a statement on the sidelines of the event, the dean emphasized that &#8220;the nursing profession is one of the most noble humanitarian professions, as it reflects the essence of humanity through the provision of care to patients,&#8221; noting that &#8220;nursing is the cornerstone of health institutions and plays an active role in providing the best comprehensive care for patients and ensuring their comfort.&#8221;<br \/>\nThe elections were conducted in an atmosphere of high transparency, with voters casting their ballots to select the candidates who will represent the nursing profession in the coming period. This democratic movement aims to elect a body capable of defending the rights of the nursing team and working to develop and advance the profession in a way that serves the health reality in Iraq.<\/p>\n<p>The participation of faculty members in this professional forum is in line with the college&#8217;s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by supporting institutions that nurture health professionals and ensure the quality of services provided.
