<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"In a move that reflects the scientific rigor and advanced level of graduate studies at the College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad, a select group of doctoral students in the pediatric nursing department participated in the Third International Conference on Medical Sciences held by Al-Amid University, amid a large local and international academic presence.<\/p>\n
The participation consisted of the presentation of two distinguished research papers drawn from doctoral theses by students Ahmed Abdul-Kazim and Sahar Sharif, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Azra Hussein Shawq. The research highlighted fundamental issues in the field of childcare, addressing: “The effect of foot massage on the stability of physiological indicators in newborns” and “Assessment of oral health and related factors in children on ventilators.”<\/p>\n
The research presented solutions and recommendations based on recent scientific evidence aimed at improving the quality of nursing and health services. This active participation clearly confirms the quality and competence of the students in preparing studies that are on par with international standards. The acceptance and discussion of these research papers in an international forum is a clear indication of the strength of the research methodology followed at the College of Nursing.<\/p>\n
Attendees praised the scientific level of the students, which enhances the academic reputation of the college and highlights its leading role in supporting the medical field with solid applied research. This participation is an important incentive for other graduate students, supporting the university’s efforts to promote scientific research and publication in reputable international journals and conferences.<\/p>\n
This scientific participation embodies the College of Nursing’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), by presenting quality research aimed at improving the care and health of children, specifically vulnerable groups such as newborns and children on artificial respiration. This participation also supports Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure) by developing the quality of scientific research among graduate students and ensuring publication in international forums, thereby promoting innovation based on applied knowledge.<\/p>\n
