Assistant Professor Dr. Noha Adel Ibrahim, a lecturer in the Department of Maternal and Child Nursing at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, played an active role in the Third International Conference on Epilepsy, hosted by the Iraqi Association Against Epilepsy in cooperation with the International League Against Epilepsy, Eastern Mediterranean Region, at the Babylon Rotana Hotel in Baghdad. Her participation was reflected in her membership in the conference’s preparatory committee, in addition to her role as the conference’s moderator, managing and presenting it.<\/p>\n
The conference featured presentations and discussions of a selection of research and scientific lectures specializing in the development of care services for epilepsy patients in Iraq, in addition to highlighting the latest diagnostic and therapeutic methods. The conference also included the presentation of distinguished research on the care of pregnant women with epilepsy during pregnancy, given the medical specificity of this group, which requires careful monitoring. The conference concluded with a recommendation to improve the health care situation for epilepsy patients in Iraq, enhance diagnostic and treatment capabilities, and support patients to ensure an improved quality of life.<\/p>\n
The Faculty of Nursing’s participation in this international conference is an important step towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being). By discussing modern diagnostic and therapeutic methods for a chronic disease, the college contributes to promoting scientific research aimed at improving the quality of healthcare. Furthermore, the focus on pregnant women with epilepsy reflects a commitment to ensuring a healthy life and promoting well-being for all at all ages, which is the essence of the third Sustainable Development Goal.<\/p>\n
