Building on its leading role in advancing scientific research and graduate studies, the college of Nursing at the University of Baghdad has begun intensive discussions on the titles of master’s and doctoral theses for the faculty’s scientific branches. The discussions took place before specialized scientific committees comprising highly experienced and competent professors.<\/p>\n

The discussions aim to achieve a set of fundamental objectives to ensure the quality of research outputs. The first objective is to ensure that the proposed title is original and represents a genuine scientific contribution that is not duplicated in the field of nursing and healthcare. The committees also focus on evaluating the research plan to ensure that the title is realistic and appropriate for the researcher’s capabilities, and to ensure that the appropriate methodology and statistical tools are selected for accurate data collection and analysis. In addition, these discussions seek to guide researchers toward accurately defining the dimensions of their topics and avoiding broad titles, and to provide important guidance on the most important previous studies and points that need to be explored and researched in greater depth, ultimately ensuring that students’ research competence is raised and their efforts are directed toward addressing the most pressing health and community issues.<\/p>\n

The college emphasizes that scientific research in the field of nursing directly serves efforts to achieve sustainable development, particularly Goal 3 (Good Health) and Goal 4 (Quality Education). The role of this research is to promote the improvement of health indicators by finding evidence-based scientific solutions to intractable health problems and evaluating the quality of care provided. These studies also contribute to the development of nursing knowledge and practices that build a generation capable of providing sustainable and effective healthcare. The college guides its students toward choosing research topics that address issues such as primary healthcare and community health sustainability, thereby emphasizing the role of the College of Nursing as a key partner in building a prosperous and healthy future for generations to come.<\/p>\n
