The Nursing Fundamentals Department at the college of Nursing, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the college of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls at the University of Baghdad, organized an intensive training course entitled: Fundamentals of Nursing and First Aid.<\/p>\n

The course was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Masra Abdullah Najm and teacher Basma Amer Naji in the Akram Fahmi Hall at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences for Girls, and was attended by professors and students from the host college.
\nThe course aimed to provide participants with basic skills, including learning the basic principles of first aid, how to accurately measure the four vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration), and training on how to dress wounds and care for them to prevent complications.
\nAt the end of the course, Dr. Hind Salem, head of the university’s psychological counseling unit, praised the efforts made to ensure the success of this valuable course. Participating faculty members also received certificates of appreciation for their efforts in completing the course and sharing their nursing expertise.
\nThis joint course is a model for achieving the third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-being) by spreading awareness and preventive health skills in the university community. It also supports the seventeenth goal (Partnerships for the Goals) by promoting constructive cooperation between colleges to serve a wider range of university affiliates.<\/p>\n
