The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the College of Nursing, University of Baghdad, organized a field trip to the Iraqi Fashion House in Zayouna, as part of an initiative to promote national identity among Iraqi university students. Twenty-one second-year students participated in the trip. The delegation was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Houra Hussein Ghaffal (Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Unit), Assistant Professor Hussein Hassan Aziz, and Assistant Professor Mustafa Wajih (Head of the Media Unit at the College)<\/span><\/p>\n

The visit was supervised directly by the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Wissam Jabbar Qasim, and was carried out in close cooperation with the Office of the Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities for Cultural Affairs, Prof. Dr. Fadel Mohammed Al-Badrani\u00a0<\/span>
\nThe visit included an introductory tour inside the house to learn about the stages of designing and producing traditional and artistic costumes that represent the history and heritage of Iraqi civilization. It also included learning about the efforts of the Ministry of Culture in preserving national identity and highlighting cultural heritage through various artistic performances<\/span>
\nThis initiative is part of the college’s efforts to support cultural and national activities and strengthen students’ sense of national belonging, in addition to enhancing communication between the university and cultural institutions, emphasizing that the development of nursing <\/span>cadres includes both knowledge and national aspects<\/span><\/p>\n

This cultural-national event contributes to achieving various dimensions of sustainable development, particularly supporting Goal 4 (Quality<\/span> Education) by integrating cultural and social dimensions into university education and promoting knowledge related to heritage. (Sustainable cities and communities) Goal 11, specifically the paragraph calling for “strengthening efforts to protect and preserve the world’s cultural and <\/span>natural heritage,” emphasizes the importance of culture in sustainable development and the consolidation of national identity<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
