The College of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed a higher diploma thesis titled “Evidence-Based Approach to Patient Self-Management: “Evidence-based approach towards self-management for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)”. For the student Ghadeer Naseer Jabbar. Under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mesra Abdullah Najm. The study aimed to highlight the research and evidence-based interventions relevant to the management of COPD, and formulate recommendations related to enhancing self-management for patients with COPD<\/p>\n

This scientific thesis is an important step towards achieving the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (Good Health and Well-being), for several reasons Enhancing self-management Self-management enables patients to control their health condition, which reduces the frequency of hospitalizations and reduces the burden on the health system, which is the essence of sustainability in health care The application of evidence-based approaches contributes to providing more effective care, which improves the quality of life of patients with chronic diseases such as COPD, and ensures that they live healthier and longer<\/p>\n
