The College of Nursing at Baghdad University defended a doctoral thesis titled: “The effectiveness of an intervention program for mothers’ practices towards feeding infants with cleft lip and palate and its effect on growth parameters”. The thesis was submitted by the student Mona Yousef Hussein. Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Afifa Reda Aziz in the Great Hall of the College<\/p>\n
The study aimed to evaluate the effect of an intervention program on mothers’ practices in feeding their infants with cleft lip and palate and to evaluate the effect of the intervention program on the growth parameters of these children.<\/p>\n
The study showed a significant improvement in the study group, compared to the control group, after applying the intervention program. This improvement indicates the effectiveness of the program in improving feeding practices.<\/p>\n
The study concluded that the implementation of the intervention program for mothers with infants with cleft lip and palate had a positive and significant impact on their feeding practices. The thesis received a very good grade.<\/p>\n
The study recommended that more specialized and targeted research is needed to help mothers overcome the complex challenges of feeding infants with cleft lip and palate.
\nThis research is in line with the third goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, “good health and well-being”, by focusing on health interventions that aim to improve the health and well-being of infants with congenital anomalies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
