The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed the master’s thesis tagged ) Patients\u2019 Knowledge, Attitude, and Perception about Atrial Fibrillation( for the student Alaa Kadhim Abdulhameed.<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
The aim of the <\/strong>thesis is to assess the knowledge, attitude, and perception of patients with atrial fibrillation, and to find out the association between patients\u2019 knowledge, attitude, and perception of certain socio-demographic characteristics and clinical information.<\/p>\n
The letter also included the thesis to The results of the present study demonstrated that more than two third of patients (62.2%) had a poor level of knowledge about their atrial fibrillation, and nearly more than one-third of patients (36.7%) had positive attitudes. Concerning AF patients\u2019 perceptions, (85.6%) of patients had a negative perception about atrial fibrillation. The study demonstrated statistically significant differences between the patients\u2019 knowledge and their age (0.027), level of education (0.000), occupation (0.028), and type of atrial fibrillation (0.043).\u00a0 Also, there was a statistically significant difference between patients\u2019 attitudes and their level of education (0.056) and occupation (0.002). There were statistically significant differences between patients\u2019 perception and their gender (0.002), level of education (0.019), and residence (0.013).<\/p>\n
The most important recommendations reached by the study: Implementing instructional programs may improve patients\u2019 knowledge and help them to adopt positive attitudes toward atrial fibrillation, moreover may change their negative perception about atrial fibrillation for the achievement of better treatment outcomes and improve self-management .And the estimate that the researcher got privilege.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
