The College of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Nurses’ Perception of Nausea Measures in Patients Receiving Chemotherapy: A qualitative study”. For the student Shatha Hamza Karim, under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sirwan Jaafar Baqi. In the museum hall at the college<\/p>\n

The study aimed to explore nurses’ perceptions about the management of nausea, which is a common side effect of chemotherapy. The main findings centered around three themes: Nurses’ perceptions of nausea in cancer patients receiving chemotherapy, their perceptions of the factors that contribute to nausea, and their perceptions of the measures used to manage this condition<\/p>\n

The study recommended boosting nurses’ self-confidence by providing a supportive work environment, improving communication skills, an promoting teamwork to effectively manage nausea and maintain quality of care. It also recommended further research to explore other factors that may influence the occurrence of nausea in cancer patients.\u00a0 The researcher received a very good grade for her research efforts<\/p>\n

This study is an important step towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the third goal related to “good health an well-being”. It seeks to improve the quality of health care for patients with cancer, contributing to their well-being and improving their quality of life during treatment<\/p>\n
