The College\u00a0 of Nursing at Baghdad University discussed a doctoral thesis entitled (The effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on behavioral responses and anxiety in patients with irritable bowel syndrome). The study was conducted at Shatra General Hospital in Dhi Qar Governorate, and aimed to evaluate the effect of this treatment on behavioral responses and anxiety levels in patients. For the student Mustafa Raed Wahid under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Widad Kamel Mohammed in the Great Hall of the College.<\/p>\n
The thesis aimed to ) To determine the effect of CBT on behavioral responses and anxiety levels in IBS patients.<\/p>\n
The results showed that CBT led to a significant improvement in patients’ behaviors and a significant decrease in GI-related anxiety, confirming its effectiveness as a non-pharmacological intervention.<\/p>\n
Based on these findings, the study recommends that CBT should be incorporated into standard care protocols for IBS patients at the Ministry of Health. It also recommends further long-term research to assess the sustainability of the benefits of this therapy.<\/p>\n
