The Faculty of Nursing at Baghdad University registered its presence at the first scientific conference for the editorial boards of Iraqi journals, which was held at the University of Technology under the slogan: “Raising Iraqi Journals to the Spaces of Excellence”.<\/p>\n
The Iraqi National Journal of Nursing Specialties, published by the College of Nursing, was represented by Prof. Dr. Sadiq Abdul Hussein Hassan, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Hussein Alak, and Instructor Dr. Safad Riad Issam.<\/p>\n
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, delivered a speech during the opening, with the participation of university presidents and experts from Elsevier, Clarivate, the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and ASF. He explained that this conference embodies a renewed awareness and a firm will that has made scientific journals platforms for knowledge and spaces for research dialogue, thus establishing the status of Iraqi universities regionally and internationally.<\/p>\n
The conference included a speech by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Scientific Research Affairs, Dr. Haider Abdul Dahad, on the development of Iraqi journals, in addition to scientific sessions that discussed the indexing of academic content and reviewed the scientific research management platform (RMS), as part of the comprehensive digital transformation process of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR).<\/p>\n
In conclusion, recommendations were presented, which included raising the quality of research accepted in Iraqi journals, supporting strategic partnerships with Scopus and Clarivate by enhancing international cooperation and encouraging the publication of review articles.<\/p>\n
