<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis entitled \u201cPost-traumatic growth and psychological resilience in patients with spinal cord injuries: a correlational study.\u201d The thesis was presented by researcher Abdul Rahman Mashhan Madih, under the supervision of Professor Sadiq Abdul Hussein, in the college’s skills hall.<\/p>\n
The study aimed primarily to measure levels of \u201cpost-traumatic growth\u201d and \u201cpsychological resilience\u201d in patients with spinal cord injuries, in addition to analyzing the relationship between these two important concepts.<\/p>\n
The results showed that there are multiple factors that clearly affect the psychological resilience of this group of patients, including social and demographic factors such as educational level, and clinical factors such as the severity of the injury and the patient’s degree of independence. The researcher received a \u201cvery good\u201d rating for his efforts in this research.<\/p>\n
The study recommended the need to design specialized rehabilitation programs that not only focus on physical recovery but also aim to support and enhance psychological resilience in patients. It emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive care that gives mental health the same importance as physical health.<\/p>\n
These recommendations are directly in line with the third Sustainable Development Goal, \u201cGood Health and Well-being,\u201d which seeks to ensure healthy lifestyles and well-being for all at all ages. By providing integrated healthcare that includes mental health, such studies contribute to improving the quality of life of affected individuals and enabling them to achieve their maximum health and psychological potential.<\/p>\n
