<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Faculty of Nursing at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis entitled “Alcohol use behavior among individuals using: a study based on the multi-stage model of change”, by the researcher Qatar Al-Nada Taha Haidar, and under the supervision of Dr. Karim Rashak Sagat in the Grand Hall of the College<\/p>\n
The study mainly aimed to understand the factors that could predict how willing individuals who use alcohol to stop this behavior. These factors included participants’ age, duration of addiction, and the quality of alcohol consumed, as well as psychological factors such as decision balance, self-efficacy, and change processes.<\/p>\n
One of the most prominent results of the thesis is the existence of positive and statistically significant relationships between the age of the participants and each of: decision balance, temptations, self-efficacy, and change processes. The study also revealed a statistically significant inverse relationship between the stages of change and temptations.<\/p>\n
The study recommended the importance of enhancing the role of psychiatric nurses through cooperation with various community bodies. This collaboration aims to raise public awareness about the negative effects of alcoholism, through active participation in awareness and education campaigns that support prevention and early intervention.<\/p>\n
These recommendations are directly aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the third goal: \u201cGood health and well-being\u201d. By focusing on preventing alcohol abuse and providing support to affected individuals, the community can contribute to improving public health and promoting psychological and physical well-being, which reflects positively on building a healthier and more stable society.<\/p>\n
