The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad discussed a master’s thesis entitled \u201cThe Impact of Professional Barriers on the Performance of Nurses in Mental Health Hospitals: A Study on the Quality of Care.\u201d The thesis was presented by researcher Saba Qais Nima, under the supervision of Professor Dr. Zahid Jassim Mohammed, in the faculty’s main hall.<\/p>\n
The study aimed to determine the impact of professional obstacles on the performance of nurses working in mental health hospitals. One of the striking findings of the study was that there was no statistically significant relationship between professional obstacles and nurse performance.<\/p>\n
Despite the results not showing a direct statistical relationship, the study recommended that healthcare institutions should work to promote a supportive regulatory climate, indicating the importance of providing a positive work environment that encourages optimal performance, even if professional obstacles do not directly affect overall performance according to the statistical measures in this study. It received a rating of \u201cvery good.\u201d<\/p>\n
The study highlights the importance of supporting nursing staff as an integral part of providing high-quality mental health care. Improving the organizational climate for nurses can indirectly contribute to enhancing the well-being of both patients and staff, supporting efforts to achieve comprehensive and sustainable health.
