The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Nursing at Baghdad University organized an intensive training course entitled \u201cFamily Planning Methods and Their Importance for Women’s Health\u201d, which lasted for four days and concluded with a test for the participants. The course was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hawra Hussein Ghafil, and was attended by a group of faculty members and staff at the college’s Diploma Hall.<\/p>\n
The course aimed to raise awareness about the various family planning methods and their types, and how couples can choose the right methods for them. It also focused on the critical importance of family planning methods in improving women’s health, which has a positive impact on the health of the child, the family, and society as a whole. The course explained that spacing births gives women a chance to regain their physical and psychological health, and provides enough time for the newborn to grow physically and psychologically, making the mother more ready to receive another child after a period of at least two years.<\/p>\n
The course concluded with a set of important recommendations, including educating women about family planning methods and their different types, explaining the advantages and disadvantages of each method to give them freedom of choice, providing family planning methods to every woman, regardless of any differences or discrimination, and facilitating access to these methods, as they are a human right and not a luxury.<\/p>\n
This course comes within the framework of the activities of the Continuing Education Unit, and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically the third goal related to good health and the fifth goal related to gender equality.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
