The College of Nursing at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop entitled (professional behavior during practical training) in the Fundamental Nursing laboratory, presented to professional diploma students.<\/p>\n
The workshop aimed to introduce students to the concept of ethics, which are the principles of behavior that govern the student as a member of the nursing group, in addition to the nurse\u2019s responsibility to learn about nursing theory and practice.<\/p>\n
The nursing code of ethics requires that the nursing student do the following: accept the responsibility of providing care to any individual, maintaining confidentiality of information about the patient, family, coworkers, and workplace and following workplace rules and standard nursing procedures.<\/p>\n
The workshop included introducing students to the Code of Ethics for male and female nurses. The nurse provides services with respect for human dignity and the patient\u2019s uniqueness, and is not restricted by considerations of social or economic status, personal characteristics, or the nature of health problems. The nurse maintains the patient\u2019s right to privacy by protecting information of a confidential nature, as the nurse works to preserve patients and society through health care practices and protect them from low-level, unethical, or illegal practices by any person, as well as preventive precautions, student responsibilities, appearance, cleanliness, and training rules in hospitals, and respecting and following the health institution laws.<\/p>\n
In the workshop, the presenters called on all students to adhere to the code of ethics of nursing profession and the basics of practical training in hospitals and health institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
