The Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit is one of the active units at the College of Nursing, playing a pivotal role in promoting academic and cultural cooperation between the college and educational institutions inside and outside Iraq. The unit contributes to the development of teaching staff by following up on the affairs of scholarships and study leaves inside and outside Iraq, as well as coordinating on academic fellowships and grants.<\/span>
\nNotable Achievements:<\/span>
\nCoordinating scholarships and study leaves: Following up on the affairs of scholarship holders and ensuring the smooth flow of administrative procedures related to their dispatch, while providing the necessary support to finalize their transactions inside and outside the university.<\/span>
\nExpanding academic relations: Establishing and developing cooperative relations with Arab and international universities through memorandums of understanding and scientific cooperation agreements aimed at exchanging expertise, research and training.<\/span>
\nAcademic representation: The unit contributes in representing the college within the central committees for cultural relations at Baghdad University, and seeks to communicate the voice of the college and participate in the formulation of general policies for cultural cooperation.<\/span>
\nCourses and Workshops: Organizing training courses and workshops in cooperation with external bodies to develop the skills of teaching staff and students, and promote openness to international cultures and academic systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mechanism for students wishing to study abroad (fellowship, scholarship, study leave) is as follows:
\n– The student submits an application to the head of the department requesting to study outside Iraq (master’s or doctorate), and the application includes the following attachments:
\nA. Supporting documents.
\nB. A pledge not to enroll in a program within Iraq.
\nC. Acceptance from a university recognized by the Ministry.
\nD. A CV in Arabic and English.
\nE. TOEFL or IELTS certificate.
\nH. International health certificate.
\nI. Certificate of no criminal record.
\nJ. Summary of master’s thesis.
\nK. Doctoral proposal.
\nL. Copies of bachelor’s degree for master’s applicants and copies of bachelor’s and master’s degrees for doctoral applicants.
\nG. The application must be submitted well in advance of the deadline.
\nH. Recommendation from professors in English.
\nThe application and the above attachments shall be submitted by the head of the academic department to the academic specialization committee, and then the application shall be submitted with the minutes of the academic committee, provided that the applicant’s travel does not affect the teaching process.
\n– Other instructions regarding admission to the donor country or any other new instructions.
\n– The file shall be submitted with a letter signed by the head of the department or a memorandum to the dean of the college for referral to the college council.
\n– The file shall be submitted by the Faculty Council, together with the minutes of the Faculty Council, after obtaining approval or rejection, to the Scholarships and Cultural Relations Unit for the purpose of reviewing the file and obtaining a summary of the service and the validity of the certificate obtained from the Human Resources Division.
\n– The scholarship recipient shall be provided with a letter of no objection or a letter of recommendation addressed to the University of Baghdad \/ Scholarships and Cultural Relations Department.<\/p>\n

\n6. Representing the college in international academic and cultural events and enhancing its presence in regional and international forums.<\/span>
\n7. Contribute to supporting an open and interactive learning environment with international cultures, which enhances students’ awareness of contemporary health issues.<\/span><\/p>\n
